Ashford Athletics Club was founded in 2012 and has continued to go from strength to strength since. The Club caters for both Juveniless and Seniors (adults).

Junior Section:

The Juvenile section of the Club is designed to build confidence, character and athletic skills emphasizing fun and sportsmanship!

Our coaches will lead your children in age appropriate physical activities that will help build their skills and foster an enthusiasm for running and sports in general.

Kids are divided into groups:

  1. 4, 5 & 6 year olds
  2. 7, 8 & 9 year olds
  3. 10 years and over

A typical session will consist of the following:

  • Basic warm up training
  • Coaches offer huge encouragement, while educating on the correct running form and posture.  
  • Running skills for various disciplines
  • Building endurance
  • Promising a fun and active experience!

Seniors Section:

The Seniors section of the Club is designed to cater for a wide range of abilities and disciplines. Whether you're somebody looking to run for the first time to get fit or a seasoned marathon runner there will be a warm welcome for you at our training sessions.

At training, the adults will always start and finish as a group but during the session smaller groups train together to cater for indivduals ability and aspirations.
